31 Days of Halloween

Day 18

Hi Halloween Lovers,

Today I'm posting about a Pumpkin Regatta my sister went to last October. It's in Tualatin Lake of the Commons, Oregon. It's a yearly event that brings people from all over the world in attendance. Participants race across a waterway in a hollowed out giant pumpkin in costume. I love this idea so much, I can't wait to see it in person. But for now, here is what my sister told me about the regatta.

The races go in three heats. First heat are the folks who grew the pumpkins. Second are first responders from all over the county. Third heat are people who signed up to be in the lottery from all over, even out of the country to be able to dress up and paddle.
