Lock up your children! They are back!
Donna and Vivien here to celebrate a new Halloween movie favorite Hocus Pocus 2. We know most of you have seen it by now on Disney+, but we supplied some basic information for those who have not:
Hocus Pocus 2 Plot
Hocus Pocus 2 is set in present-day Salem 29 years after Max inadvertently resurrected the Sanderson sisters by lighting the Black Flame Candle and they're out for revenge for their execution once again.
With the witches back threatening to wreak a whole new kind of havoc on the town, high schoolers Becca, Cassie, and Izzy are tasked with putting a stop to the ravenous witches plans before midnight on Halloween.

In a recent chat with People Magazine, Hocus Pocus 2 executive producer Adam Shankman revealed that the three stars of the 1993 original "just fell right in" with each other on set of the highly anticipated sequel - even 29 years later. "It was like a snap back in time, as if time had not passed," says Shankman. "They were just laughing, laughing, laughing. It was easy."
"Kathy, Sarah and Bette have known each other since they made the movie. So, there was nothing but giddiness," he continues, adding with a laugh, "I think there was a little bit of, like, 'Wow, are we really doing this again?' "
"I am beyond thrilled to be involved in the sequel to a film that is as beloved as Hocus Pocus," director Anne Fletcher said in a statement. "Fans around the world have embraced these characters and have made this film a Halloween tradition whose popularity continues to grow, and how lucky am I to be back at Disney with these three extraordinarily talented ladies in the iconic roles they created, as well as our fabulous new additions to the cast."
But, none of these wonderful Hocus Pocus movies would exist without the creator/writer David Kirschner, who originally wrote the story for his children. On Hocus Pocus, David has story and producer credit. On Hocus Pocus 2, David has executive producer credit. Also, each time Disney said "Yes" to a Hocus Pocus movie, it was David Kirschner who pitched the story to them!
