31 Days of Halloween with
The Kelly Society
John and Jason from The Kelly Society are hosting today. John is our ghost machines operator during paranormal investigations and I'm our videographer. Contact us if you have a pesky or evil spirit in your home and we'll clear it for you!
Today John and I feature our favorite Halloween treat - Jim Harold's Virtual Halloween Party! Jim Harold is the host of the Paranormal Podcast, Jim Harold's Campfire (true ghost stories), and many more. We will provide the link to his podcasts at the end of this post.
We tune into Jim's Utube party every October! He began this spooky event in 2019 and has been evolving his party every year since. The annual revelry comes with special guests like Jodi Livon the Happy Medium, Kat and Jethro Gilligan Toth (The Box of Oddities), and Ryan Sprague (UFO Author). That's just some of the guests, but there is also a supporter and friend of the show Spooky Sandy. She is hysterical and very charming. We always look forward to her costume and Halloween paraphernalia in the room behind her!
Jim also invites viewers to participate in posted comments/greetings live, as well as Halloween Trivia games. He will post a question and the winner gets a prize!
Back to costumes - Jim Harold and his team come up with the best costumes ever! The photos we've included below are from his 2021 and 2022 party, and each time he brought it! From Pennywise from It, to the Joker! His wife Dar, assistant Maddy, and now his daughter Cassandra also adorn themselves fabulously.
Jim's fun-filled Halloween party even has a countdown!

And now - here's our interview with
What prompted you to begin your annual Virtual Halloween Parties?
I appreciate our community of podcast listeners and I thought that it would be great if we all could get together and have a party. I knew that wasn't doable in person but at the time several years ago, platforms were starting to come online that made it possible to do virtually. We feature trivia giveaways, stories, special guests and general spooky fun. The community always looks forward to it. As the tech has improved, I think the parties have too. It became a really good thing during the height of the pandemic so we could have some fun during that terrible time.
What year was your first virtual party?
I believe it was 2015. Hard to believe that this will be our 8th!
How do you choose your costumes each year for the virtual party?
Dar comes up with the best ideas for the costume. Usually she will propose two or three and I'll pick one. This year, will be tough as we outdid ourselves the last two years with Pennywise and the Joker!
What do you love most about Halloween?
I think it is now the Virtual Halloween parties themselves. It really is so festive and fun to talk with everybody and have a good time. We have a lot of repeat guests and I really look forward to it every year. This year we are planning for our party on:
Saturday, October 29th from 8pm - 11pm ET.
I hope you and your audience can all join us!
