Freaky Friday: Black Eyed Kids
Black Eyed Kids - Urban Legend? Or Truth?
Accounts of black eyed kids have been floating around the internet since the 1990's. The chilling experiences of these individuals is something I'd never want for myself. Essentially, the person they approach feels instant dread and cannot see anything in their eyes except utter blackness. Their speech is fragmented, robotic and they always want people to let them inside. Those who choose not to allow them into their home are left with an eerie experience. But, others have opened their doors and illness, death, and an assortment of bad luck has followed. Many people believe the teenage or middle-school aged children are actually demons.
Since this phenomenon is so disturbing, I included a scene in my first book of the Kelly Society series when my uber psychic lead Vivien Kelly has a nightmare. That scene is below:
Bay of Darkness
Two black-eyed children on patrol stopped in front of the window and bowed to Vivien in honor. There stood a boy and a girl about ten years old. They looked completely normal, except for the black emptiness of their eyes. True evil lived within, and Nicholas only used them for very special jobs. Vivien acknowledged their protocol by inclining her head in return, grateful to be their leader. They gave her the creeps.
