Day 26

Aaahh, pumpkins! My favorite part of Halloween. Besides attending Vivien and Neal's annual Halloween party, I love carving my front porch Halloween pumpkins.

I'm John from The Kelly Society, and I run all that paranormal machinery Vivien is finally getting familiar with. Albeit, she is the founder of our paranormal cleansing team and an uber psychic, she just recently came to understand if the EMF meter hits the red zone, a ghost is in the room. So, we've made progress :)

Now on to some fabulous pumpkins and background about them.

From History.com:

In Ireland and Scotland, people began to make their own versions of Jack’s lanterns by carving scary faces into turnips or potatoes and placing them into windows or near doors to frighten away Stingy Jack and other wandering evil spirits. In England, large beets are used. Immigrants from these countries brought the jack-o’-lantern tradition with them when they came to the United States. They soon found that pumpkins, a fruit native to America, make perfect jack-o’-lanterns.

Imaginative Jack O'Lanterns!

Cuties!

Well there you have it! What wonderful inspirations for your own pumpkin creations this year.

Enjoy and Happy Halloween!
