31 Days of Halloween with The Kelly Society Day 25 - The Haunted Collector John Zaffis

31 Days of Halloween with

The Kelly Society

Day 25

Hi There. It's Neal, and I told Vivien I had to post about The Haunted Collector a.k.a John Zaffis. As an honorary member of The Kelly Society, my partner Vivien Kelly (founder of The Kelly Society paranormal cleansing team) was surprised to hear I was fascinated by the show. The idea of a person acquiring a haunted object and dealing with the horror of a ghost or demon attached to it, brings about many compelling stories. John Zaffis investigates and helps people by discovering the background, and taking away the object.

From JohnZaffis.com:

About John

John Zaffis has over forty three years of experience studying and investigating the paranormal. He had the opportunity to work for and with his aunt and uncle, Ed and Lorraine Warren. This sent John beyond looking for ghosts and hauntings and into studying demonology under the Warrens. John has first-hand paranormal experience, including experience with ghosts, poltergeists, and demonic and diabolical entities. He has also worked extensively with both spiritualists and psychics concerning how their knowledge is used for channeling, reincarnation (past-life regression), calling of the spirits for information, and how they use meditation to acquire the information which they are seeking. Because of his personal experiences with hauntings, ESP, near death experiences and other paranormal activities, he is firm in his conviction that such phenomena exist.

John starred in the television series Haunted Collector which ran on SyFy channel from 2011 through 2013.

Over the years, John has collected many hundreds of possessed items either given to or sent to him by people wishing to be rid of them. The John Zaffis Paranormal Museum opened in 2004 in order to display these items, and continues to be open today. John wrote and starred in the documentary film Museum of the Paranormal, released in 2010, which gives the viewer a tour of his museum and the stories behind some of the objects.

School Desk

This desk was originally on a college campus. Students felt there was a spirit attached to the desk. During John's investigation this desk moved across the floor with an individual sitting in it. It was removed from the premises.

Two Clown Dolls "The Boys"

A woman bought two clown dolls from a consignment shop. After they entered her house, she felt she was being watched and experienced disturbing dreams. John took them away.

Antique Clown Doll

After being purchased from an antique store, the doll's new owner experienced bizarre dreams about the doll. Joanne, a team psychic was brought in to hold the doll (Psychometry) to gain more insight into the spiritual energy attached. After picking up the doll, she quickly put it down, claiming the unsettling energy was too intense to read.

Idol

The Idol was used in many rituals of black magic a young man was involved in. He didn't believe the rituals would be effective, but found out they were. He claimed deities inhabited the Idol. John was called in and the young man had an exorcism performed over him. The Idol was removed and the man is now free of any spiritual trouble.

You can check out John's Haunted Collector show on SyFy, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and many other streaming networks. Do it, and I guarantee a chill will work its way down your spine!

Happy Halloween
